The #1 Question: What is it?
This is a first-of-its-kind adventure, so it bears explanation:
This is a first-of-its-kind adventure, so it bears explanation:
- Food Done It? Edible Mystery Tours are 3-5 hour self-paced web-guided full-meal walking tour experiences, with a mystery storyline (for private groups of 3-8).
- The tour & mystery are guided by a web-app you'll access using your smartphone. If there isn't at least one moderately tech-savvy person (who is familiar with using apps) in your group you will probably have a bad time. If you all are familiar with apps, you'll have a GREAT time!
- A crime has been committed, and the only way to solve it is to EAT your way through the crime-scene!
- You'll start at one restaurant where you'll get a chef-featured small plate to enjoy, and find out about the recent “crime” and the characters involved.
- Then follow along with your tablet or smartphone to “interrogate the suspects.”
- At each location, while you enjoy great food you’ll answer trivia or solve gentle puzzles to unlock the directions to the next mystery restaurant a short walk away.
- By the end, you'll solve the crime, get a 5 course meal, and have a LOT of fun!

Dietary Restrictions?
Part of our mission is to select a menu based on the best signature dishes each restaurant partner has to offer. Arranging substitute "best signature dishes" is difficult at best, so Food Done It? is not able to accommodate dietary restrictions; however, individual restaurants may sometimes be able to offer a substitute for an additional charge. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

- Many vegetarians have enjoyed our tour. There's not a tour where everything is 100% vegetarian, but most of our tours, IF we notify the restaurant partners in ADVANCE, have some substitutions they can provide so at least part of every stop on the tour is vegetarian. YOU MUST contact us (631-438-1288) after you book your tour so we can note which booking is yours and how many vegetarians are in your group.
- Please give us a call if you'd like to discuss your dietary needs/concerns.
- If you have a food allergy, please be sure to ask your server at each restaurant if the dish being served is safe for you.
- A general description of the menu for each tour is on the website.

No refunds if I have to cancel?
Like a sports-event or theater ticket, Food Done It? tickets are non-returnable and non-refundable since your reservation prevents other reservations for that date and time.
